Laughin’ or Crying she said she saw crows kissin' underneath a rainbow in brooklyn if that’s not good luck then what is it if you don’t look up then you miss it she says things like that all the time you can’t tell if she’s laughin or cryin' me i don’t think she’s lyin' laughin' or cryin' she said she saw a a big fat rat in the subway carryin' the key to the city if that’s not a just a curse then I’ll be some things you just can’t unsee CHORUS she said she saw an angel with a cigarette cursin' like a pirate while he's smokin’ it if that’s not just exquisite then what is it if you don’t look up then you miss it CHORUS

Strange as it Seems it’s lonely in here he said he points to his heart and his head puts on his best suit and his shined up shoes and he climbs into bed in his pocket is the money he saved he’s got a real clean shave he wants to look good tonight and he turns out the light it’s not as strange as it seems when you want to meet the girl of your dreams it’s crazy out there she said she turns off the tv set puts on her prettiest dress and her high heeled shoes and she climbs into bed she’s got on her make up and her hair’s all fixed up she’s a beautiful sight and she turns out the light it’s not as strange as it seems when you want to meet the man of your dreams he opens up his blue eyes smells the coffee and the sunrise takes off his shoes and his suit and he walks downstairs and he kisses his wife he doesn’t know if it’s real it feels like a dream feels it's a beautiful sight and they dance in the light it’s not as strange as it seems when you want to meet the girl of your dreams

Sky High 03:35
Your head is so high When you got the right shoes Your head is so high Your head is so high When you got the right shoes Your head is so high Your head is so high When you got the right shoes There’s something ‘bout the lows Tells the highs what to do Sky High There’s something ‘bout the bass Below the melody There’s something ‘bout the bass There’s something ‘bout the bass Below the melody There’s something ‘bout the bass There’s something ‘bout the bass Below the melody There’s something in the lows Tell’s the highs how to be Sky High There’s something ‘bout the tears Coming’ down from your eyes There’s something ‘bout the tears There’s something ‘bout the tears Coming down from your eyes There’s something ‘bout the lows Takes the highs to the sky Sky High

All the blue sky is gone How can I get out of bed This hurricane in my head I’m just a boat in a storm How can I know where to go When everything that I know Is already lost in the wind Sailing thru a hurricane Blowing my mind Seasick emotions go around and around and around and around and around There’s a voice in the rain I wish it would speak in my ear I never hear what it’s saying So I roll over again Pull the sheets over my head All alone in my bed Already lost in the wind CHORUS

This is It 03:44
This is it and only this and all the things I think I miss Make me miss this one and only this and that’s all there is and it shouldn’t be missed this is me and only me and all the dreams that set me free make me miss this one and only me that’s all there is and ever will be Why do I try to change the world Why do I try to change the world If all I need is some love this is me that is you and all the things I thought I knew made me do things that I would do I don’t know why it’s all I knew CHORUS I wanna to know what’s below it all where there’s no either/or at all where there’s no this or that only this CHORUS

i heard the faint voice of reason then it faded away raised my glass to her cheek and caught the tears she made I thought it was love I thought it was love but it's only a drug sparklin' wine get's me so high those beautiful tears of sparklin' wine i'm a fool she's a flower just can't find the sun i pick up all the pretty pieces when she comes undone I thought it was love I thought it was love but it's only a drug CHORUS one look at those eyes and my lips get dry i know i gotta stay the only thing i can think about is kissin’ those tears away I thought it was love I thought it was love but it's only a drug CHORUS

I’d rather be lonely than locked in a cell with a bunch of nice people that I know all too well I’d rather be cold than closed in doors in a stuffy old house where everything’s a bore Rather die thirsty than drowned in tears crying and drinking my heart full of fear Rather die hungry than feasting on lies give me one drop of truth I cannot deny rather have bad dreams than lay awake tossing and turning my mind afraid rather run for my life than be stuck in a hole staring at the sky another lonely soul Rather die thirsty than drowned in tears crying and drinking my heart full of fear Rather die hungry than feasting on lies give me one drop of truth I cannot deny

there’s a sweet little farmhouse in Virginia full of guns and ammunition in the driveway there’s some pickup trucks with shotgun racks and camouflage paint down a path to the river there’s some good old boys drinkin' and fishin' when the shit hits the fan you know just who to call or to blame you can try you can try but you can’t look away she steps out of the bathtub barely covers up with a towel and gets the front door it’s the college boy from up the street there to cut the grass while her husband’s away the neighbors they peak through the blinds cuz they know her man’s overseas lost in the war she fixes her hair up and let’s the boy inside for lemonade you can try you can try but you can’t look away it’s a colorful sight it’s got the dark and the light never just black and white or even grey you can’t look away there’s a sweet little girl with a folded up flag on the foot of her bed red white and blue fades to black suits and dresses and headlights in the rain she doesn’t notice the headstone, white bouquets and leftover last respects just the one purple wildflower comin' up from the dirt on the grave it’s a colorful sight it’s got the dark and the light never just black and white or even grey you can’t look away
